Here is a quick overview of the steps we'll take to install a Windows XP virtual machine using an ISO file on VMware, which is running on Windows 10 or 11. In contrast, the procedures for Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista will be the same.
Acquire and Copy the license key from the Windows XP ISO file and save it on a notepad.

On a computer running Windows 10/8/7, install VMware Workstation.To create a new virtual machine, launch VMware and select the Create NEW Virtual Machine button.Browse and select your winxp ISO file as the DVD or CD. Next, click and fill out the window with your information.
Set RAM and create a virtual hard disk (VMDK). (For me, 5 GB)
pick virtual drive to be stored as a single file.
To configure the Virtual Machine to your unique hardware parameters, click Customize Hardware. or simply do as follows
On the left side of the VMware main screen, choose the newly built Windows XP virtual machine.
From the menu, select Edit Virtual Machine Settings.
Pick Storage Settings.
The Windows XP boot menu will show once you've saved it and started the virtual machine.
Follow the installation wizard's instructions.
